Week 41 – California | Monterey Peninsula

So for the last week, I’ve been in Santa Maria, California for one my closest friends wedding. I was lucky enough to have some time on either side of the wedding for some central Cali exploration. I’ve always wanted to see highway one from San Diego all the way up to Seattle. Unfortunately, I didn’t enough time for all of that on this trip, so I did a smaller chunk of it. I flew into San Jose and drove down to Monterey to stay the night. The next morning, I got up before the sun and drove along the Monterey Peninsula and into the Pebble Beach Golf Resort. It was incredible. I would even go as far as to say that this was the most beautiful place that I’ve seen in America. Which means that I didn’t have to work too hard for the photos below 🙂  After exploring the peninsula, I drove down highway one and pretty much took every turn off possible to take photos. One part of the trip that stood out the most was the sound of seals barking way before I was able to see them. There were hundreds and hundreds of them along the coastline. Down near San Luis Obispo, there is even an elephant seal beach which is one of the last photos below. Really cool! Anyways, tons more photos to come. These were my favorites from the first days.
